LOUISE Hunt claimed her fifth doubles title of the year at the weekend when she triumphed at the German Open in Berlin.
Wanborough wheelchair tennis ace Hunt and British partner Lucy Shaker picked up the trophy after being handed a walkover in the final following the withdrawal of their opponents, Chile’s Macarena Cabrillana and American Dana Mathewson.
The British duo had previously booked their place in the final with a crushing 6-0, 6-1 success over Gabriela Buehler, of Switzerland, and France’s Charlotte Famin in the semis.
London 2012 Paralympian Hunt was also in action in the singles event in Berlin, where she went down 5-7, 7-6, 6-4 in a tense match against doubles opponent Famin.
The tournament in Germany was Hunt’s first since she competed in the wheelchair doubles and singles events at Wimbledon earlier this month.
It follows the 25-year-old’s doubles success in her final pre-SW19 competition at the Daegu Open in Korea in mid-June.
Hunt, who will compete at her second Paralympic Games in Rio in September, is now in action at this week’s British Open at the Nottingham Tennis Centre.
