Two teams made up from some of the most talented under 16 netball players in Swindon have been competing in regional qualifying games against the top two teams from Dorset, Gloucester and Avon.
After some hard-fought matches ending in wins against Poole, Bournemouth, Gloucester Ladies, Swindon B and a narrow defeat by Hucclecote, Swindon's A team travelled to Bath University knowing that they needed a win against both TeamBath and Almondsbury to stand a chance of qualification.
Team Bath put up a fight but were eventually seen off before Almondsbury were comprehensively beaten.
Then came the tense wait to see if Hucclecote had beaten Poole, any less than a win for Hucclecote would have meant an exit for Swindon.
The game went to form with Hucclecote coming out as winners to qualify in first place with Swindon A qualifying in second.
They each now play in the regional finals on April 6 at Bath University against the top two sides from the South encompassing Cornwall, Devon, Jersey and Somerset with the winners then going onto the national finals.
To be classed as one of the top four teams from the South of England is a great achievement, which is just reward for the commitment from both the players and coaching staff during their games and numerous training sessions.
