WILTSHIRE youngsters produced an impressive performance as they registered a comprehensive 12-5 away victory against West Midlands.

They totally dominated this British Darts Organisation Youths inter-county league match staged at Willenhall.

It was Wilts Youths' third win of the season in Division One of the Southern section with their only defeat so far coming at the hands of group leaders Glamorgan.

Six of the youth players all averaged in excess of 20 and three of them, Chris Aubrey (25.22), Adam Willis (24.34) in the Under 18s and teenager Tony Clark (24.24) in the Under 21s all averaging over the 24.00 mark.

Wiltshire completed the double over West Midlands taking the honours in all three sections when winning the Under 18, Under 21 Girls and Under 21 Boys categories.

The foundations for the comfortable away win were firmly laid early on in the first section of games which featured the under 18s which Wiltshire took convincingly by a 7-2 score line.

Wiltshire made a flying start in the under 18 match with Matty Aubrey, Luke Venn and Rob Higginson winning the opening three games. But the midlanders then hit back to cut the gap to 3-2.

However, that was their last success in this u/18 category as the quartet of Richard North, Chris Aubrey, Rhys Dudley and Adam Willis all blasted away their opponents to give Wiltshire an impressive 7-2 lead.

They then moved into an unassailable 9-2 advantage as Steph Ritchell and Cat Mackie won the first two under 21 girls games and only missed out on a clean sweep in this section when Nicole Knight was pipped in the deciding leg despite a higher average than her opposite number.

Tony Clark and Dan Butler, regular players for the men's senior team, then stamped their authority on the match with 3-0 whitewashes in the opening two under 21 boys matches to extend the Wiltshire overall lead to 11-3.

Rob Hall was then beaten before Adam Payne stepped on the oche and produced another whitewash. However, Shaun Cahalin lost the final match in the section.
