WANBOROUGH tennis star Louise Hunt will get a taste of the Olympics next week when she flies out to Beijing for the Paralympic Games.

Hunt, who is wheelchair-bound, will not actually be competing but is travelling to China after being invited by the Tennis Foundation to see first hand what the Games is all about.

While in Beijing, Hunt and her fellow 2012 hopefuls will complete a series of projects designed to help give them a taste of what could be in store for them in four years time.

The 17-year-old, who is one of Britain’s leading wheelchair tennis players, has her sights set on the Paralympic Games in London 2012 and is excited about her trip to Beijing.

“I really can’t wait, I’m so thrilled to be going to experience the atmosphere and see and support Britain’s Paralympic team,” said Hunt. “It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and I’m going to grab it with both hands.

“I am expecting to be blown away with everything I see, and get a real feel for what the Paralympics is like.

“It will give me an insight of what is coming in London.

“It will give me the chance to get a taste of the atmosphere and crowd so that when London comes around in four years time I will have already had some Paralympic experience, should I be selected to compete in front of my home crowd.”
