Racing Demon, ante post favourite for Cheltenham's Arkle Chase, is set for a prep race at Exeter tomorrow in the South West Racing Club's Novices Chase.

Henrietta Knight's six-year-old has been denied an outing in recent weeks for one reason and another, but, weather permitting, he will be turning out for the two mile three furlong chase, partnered by Timmy Murphy.

Knight said: "Exeter is the only option now. We held an entry in the Kingmaker at Warwick but because Timmy Murphy couldn't ride him there we decided to go to Exeter."

There are plenty of entries for the Devon meeting which begins at 2pm with an amateurs riders handicap hurdle that could go to the Somerset-trained Noble Calling ridden by Mr J Snowden.

Hereford stages a seven-race card with a Valentine Day's theme, including a hospitality box for Speed Dating.

It may pay to wait for the last race on the card, the Victims to Cupids Arrow Handicap Hurdle, to have an each way wager on the John Manners-trained Hunting Lodge, due a win after several decent runs in good company.

All weather racing fans are catered for with a banded meeting at Southwell where local jockey Alan Daly could be on the mark with Teyaar, trained by Mark Wellings.
