LAWN saw off the challenge of Elmdon as they beat their Birmingham-based opponents 45-37 in National Premier League 3.
Hosts Elmdon showed great speed and ability early on, and they took a six-goal lead into the second quarter.
But Lawn regrouped and managed early turnovers which helped them to claw back the advantage to just one goal at half time.
The visitors then battled hard again in the next quarter and drew level heading into the final period.
And Lawn controlled the latter exchanges to pull away and finish eight goals to the good.
In Regional League Division 1, seventh-placed Raychem found the going tough against Hucclecote A.
