LAMBOURN trainer Nicky Henderson, who runs the favourite Solix in today’s Totesport Trophy at Newbury, became the first trainer to reach the 100 winner mark for the season at Market Rasen earlier in the week.

Former flat performer Higgy’s Ragazzo made a winning debut over jumps in the two-mile one-furlong Juvenile Hurdle, ridden by AP McCoy for his 180th winner of the season.

The trainer was reported as saying: “It’s nice to get the 100 up and it would be the quickest by someway.”

In a later race on the card Henderson made it 101 when Quantitativeeasing again partnered by McCoy won the two-mile six-and-a-half furlong Novices’ Chase.
