COASTAL Cobras have experienced mixed fortunes of late in Division One of the Indoor Cricket League.

They recorded an impressive 51-run defeat of Wootton Bassett but then lost to Asians by three wickets, who also beat Swindon by 25 runs.

Jag Chahal top-scored with 31 not out as Asians posted a decent total of 116-5.

In reply only Cobras’ Liam Tucker (37) and Tom Foreman (34) reached double figures in pursuit of the target.

Elsewhere in this division, Shrivenham were easy five-wicket victors over Wanborough.

In Division Two, leaders Nationwide were well-beaten by Wroughton, losing by 43 runs.

Steady batting saw Wroughton accumulate 138-2 against Nationwide and despite a well-made 34 from Nick Clarke, the latter side were never really in the hunt as Wroughton eased to victory.

The previous weekend, Wroughton had scrambled home by three runs against Highworth in a low-scoring affair, thanks to Barry Sellars' 50 not out.

Civil Service continued their good form in Division Three with a commanding 87-run win over an understrength South-West outfit.

Wanborough 2nds are also on a roll, their latest victory being against Ramsbury by an impressive five-wicket margin, Tom Mannion scoring 26 not out.

SBC Capita continue to dominate Division Four, and they came across very little difficulty in overcoming Alhabid by 27 runs.

Alhabid had previously fared better when they took a 53-run win against Highworth 2nds.
