OLLIE Betteridge was left to rue the fine margins between success and failure after Swindon Wildcats took one point out of a possible four at the weekend.
Wildcats lost 6-5 in overtime to Guildford on Saturday before suffering a 4-3 defeat in another tight clash in Peterborough last night.
Forward Betteridge, who is on a two-way from Nottingham Panthers, felt a single point was less than Swindon deserved for their efforts.
"We definitely deserved two points tonight and we should have come out with two points against Guildford," he said.
"Peterborough was a tough game to come into, it's not the best of rinks.
"We were 3-0 down but we dealt with it and came out really fast in the second period and were a goal up in that period.
"We managed to draw it up at 3-3 but got a couple of bad calls by the refs so we were unlucky, to be honest.
"It's really disappointing to come out with a loss.
"These last few weeks we've really picked it up and are playing as a team rather than individuals.
"We'll go into next weekend and hopefully pick up four points."
Swindon were defeated 6-5 by Guildford after overtime at the Link Centre on Saturday.
On the scoresheet for the hosts were Jan Kostal, Henri Sandvik, the returning Sam Smith, Jonas Hoog and Aaron Nell.
Guildford got their game-winner shorthanded at 62.05 thanks to ex-Swindon forward Nicky Watt.
Wildcats return to action next weekend away at Basingstoke and then at home to Slough,
