SWINDON Panthers warmed up for the 2016 Summer Cup with victory over the Army Blades on Saturday.
Despite Panthers’ heavy preparations, the Blades scored at 7.12 through the talented Matt Aston and added another at 19.04.
The Panthers got on the board at 19.59 with the first-time shot from Scott Gough.
At the 24.37 mark, a nice finish from Paul Wojciak levelled the game but the Blades regained the lead through Aston and the game once again turned.
At 29.01 a short-handed goal from Scott Gough restored parity before three goals in 10 minutes from Rob Croucher, Balint and a second from Wojciak.
Forces added another, but James Burnett also found the net for Panthers, who travel to Basingstoke on Saturday.
