Swindon marched through to their third successive Dorset & Wilts 1st XV Vase final with a superb 33-12 demolition of Devizes.

Tom Mannion and Mathieu Seynaeve both bagged two tries as the runners-up of the last two years moved through emphatically.

A nervy first 20 minutes saw Swindon dominate territory and possession, but mistakes and quality defending from Devizes kept the visitors out.

The breakthrough came from a Devizes line out on their own 22m line.

Swindon stole the ball at the back of the line and some great link-up play between flankers Paul Daniels and Jon Parker got them behind the defence allowing lock Andy Morley to take the pass and go over.

Neil Maycock converted, as he did when Mannion pounced on an error in the home defence and raced away for the second try.

The visitors made a perfect start to the second half, touching down after the best move of the game.

The kick off was collected by no 8 Pete Atkinson who fed Parker to charge upfield.

He linked up with fellow back row Daniels whose long pass found centre Paul Wakefield and he burst through the defence.

Wakefield's inside pass found wing Seynaeve who finished under the posts.

Maycock again added the extras and a heated derby saw both sides reduced to 14 when Wakefield and Devizes no 8 James Gaiger were sin-binned.

However, Swindon extended their lead when Mannion got his second of the game.

A lineout deep in Devizes territory was collected and the ball released to the backs.

The ball was shipped wide where Seynaeve beat the defence before releasing full-back Ewan Wishart who drew the last man and gifted Mannion his brace.

With the game beyond them, Devizes hit back with two tries, one converted.

In between, another loose pass was collected by Seynaeve who sprinted 60m to score his second under the posts, Maycock converting.
