SUPERMARINE may be in pole position to claim the Dorset & Wilts One North crown this term but there is no way they will take tomorrow's opponents Cricklade lightly.

The league leaders, beaten just once in the league this season, were given an almighty scare in the first match between the two sides at South Marston back in October.

They eventually prevailed 6-0 but, with a potentially decisive appointment with fellow title chasers Calne looming on the horizon, Marine will be desperate to capitalise on the two-point lead secured by the win over Minety two weeks ago.

Scrum-half Jim Hodgson is unavailable due to work commitments so utility back Mark Sheppard is moved to the No 9 shirt.

Paul Prentice is promoted from the bench to fill in at centre.

Richard Dodd gains a place on the bench after recovering from injury and is joined by Alex O'Neil, making a welcome return to first team duty after proving his return to fitness with excellent performances in the second string.

Meanwhile, Cricklade coach Kelvin Linsley admits he would be "absolutely ecstatic'' with victory tomorrow.

Linsley felt hard done by in their narrow defeat at Marine, missing three penalties and having a try disallowed.

He said: "They (Marine) are a very good side and looking at it, they are in good form too.

"We're working hard and plugging away to maintain our (mid-table) position in the league.'' Supermarine 2nds host Devizes 3rds in Dorset & Wilts Three North with confidence high after their victory over Bradford on Avon last time out.
