NEW Robins recruit Grzegorz Zengota has described boss Alun Rossiter as the best manager in England.

Yesterday it was announced that the Polish ace had signed on with the Robins for a second spell in Swindon after his previous stint a few years ago.

The 26-year-old enjoyed two seasons at the Abbey Stadium but has spent the majority of time since then racing outside of Britain, barring a year with Coventry Bees in 2013.

During the Zengota’s first stint in Swindon, Rossiter was in charge at Coventry Bees and admired the rider from afar. It now appears the feeling is mutual after the new signing gave his managersome glowing praise.

“Rosco (Rossiter) is a very good guy,” Zengota told the Advertiser.

“I did not work with him the first time I was here but I spoke to him about when I signed my first contract and I am looking forward to working with him.

“His mentality is amazing and I am very proud that I am working with him because he is a very good promoter.

“I think he is the best manager in England.”

It is also clear that Zengota also has a soft spot for the town, saying that Blunsdon feels like a ‘second home’.

“I’m very happy to have signed for Swindon again,” Zengota added.

“They were the first team I was with in England, so it’s really good that I can go back and ride for them again.

“I felt that my first season there was very good and I enjoyed riding for them. It was a really good experience and they have lots of very good people there.

“I always wanted to come back to the Robins, so when I heard that they were interested in me it was something that I found very exciting.

“I feel like this club is my second home. My first home is Poland but my home in England is with the Robins.

“I like the track and I have ridden there many times before and done well, so I hope that I can do the same again.

“Maybe when I was here before I was not quite ready for the English tracks but I am now in a different place and I hope I can do well.

“I will do my best for the fans, the club and the promoters and hopefully we can get some good points this year and help the team do good things.”

Zengota arrives with 6.14 average and joins skipper Troy Batchelor, Nick Morris, Kyle Howarth, Charles Wright and Lewis Rose in the Robins ranks for 2015.

That leaves boss Rossiter with 8.69 points to play with as he seeks to fill the final place in his team.
