SWINDON Robins team manager Alun Rossiter is looking for his side to keep their feet firmly on the pedal and sees no reason why they can’t claim a win at King’s Lynn Stars this evening.

Last week’s 50-40 victory away to Belle Vue Aces saw them claim top spot in the Elite League for the first time this campaign.

Wolverhampton Wolves were able to return to the summit on Monday with a 58-31 win over Leicester Lions but Rossiter is confident his side can continue their fine form at the Adrian Flux Arena.

“We’re keeping our feet on the ground but certainly confidence is high,” said Rossiter, whose side are looking for a fifth straight success.

“We should be going there and looking to come away with something, certainly now the expectations have gone up a little bit now.

“However, we have got to make sure we are not too overzealous because speedway has a way of coming back and biting you.

“We should be going there with a different mindset and the boys are starting to believe in themselves a little bit more.”

The Robins will have a shake-up in their order with Rohan Tungate moving up to number three, Nick Morris now at four and Justin Sedgmen dropping to reserve.

Skipper Jason Doyle will also return to the side having missed last week’s trip to Manchester and Rossiter knows how important his captain is to the team.

“I think Nick will benefit from having a little run at second string now,” he added.

“He had a good last three race wins at Belle Vue so he will be looking to pick up from where he left off.

“Sedg has been doing well with his seven, eights and nines and it will do his confidence a world of good to get out and get a win under his belt in heat two.

“Jason back in the team is important as well because we know what Jason brings to the team.

“I look at the young Australians and they all look up to him and that is how far he has built his stature up in recent years. He is a class rider.”

Meanwhile, there will be a familiar face in the King’s Lynn line-up with former Robins captain Troy Batchelor returning from his broken arm sustained in a motocross crash in the winter.

“It will be nice to see Troy,” said Rossiter.

“I am sure he is going to be a little bit rusty but the added bit of racing against us, I am sure he will be wanting to go out there and get a few points under his belt.

“If it had all been a bed of roses for him then I think he still would have done a job at Swindon but he had a bit of a topsy-turvy time.

“At the end of the day he still gave five years’ service to one club and I hope when he comes back people won’t get on to him because it has an adverse effect and will get his back up and get him going.

“Whatever has gone on in the past, I think he deserves respect when he comes back.”
