GREAT Dane Charlie Gjedde holds the key to yet another television victory for the Elite League-leading Swindon Robins tonight.

Gjedde, out of sorts for much of the Robins' campaign so far, roared back into some semblance of form last Thursday, recording paid 12 points in the Knockout Cup romp against Peterborough.

That earned him praise from skipper Leigh Adams and team boss Alun Rossiter, who now wants a repeat display at the tough clash at Wolverhampton tonight.

Rossiter insisted: "Charlie is our key tonight, there is no question about it.

"If he can perform at Wolverhampton, I believe we have a great chance at the meeting.

"Charlie can ride Wolverhampton - he's done it the past and won individually.

"If he comes out firing and like the rider we know he is, then it will be good news for us.'' He added: "Obviously, it will be difficult for us, with Andy Moore and Tomasz Chrzanowski both missing, as well as Mads (Korneliussen) still injured.

"We're up against it but I really still think there is a chance there for us.

"The team are on a high at the moment and we want that to continue.

"I'd like to think the bonus point will be in safe hands anyway.'' Swindon lead 57-36 from the home leg and have lost just three times in the league all season.

One of those however, was a 51-42 humbling at Monmore Green back in March.

Wolves will be at full strength with Billy Hamill returning from the USA after a successful weekend in the national championships and reserves William Lawson and Kenneth Hansen back from world under 21 duty in Denmark.

Their skipper Peter Karlsson said: "This should be a very good meeting for the fans and I'm looking forward to it.

"We all know how hard it's going to be but we'll give it everything we've got.

"We have to win our home matches if we're to get into the top four and secure a play-off place.''
