ALUN ROSSITER is confident that he will have six of his usual line-up back on track for tonight's top of the table clash with Poole Pirates.

The only rider scheduled to be absent is Danish rider Mads Korneliussen who is recovering from a couple of broken bones in his hand sustained in the home meeting with Wolverhampton a fortnight ago with rider replacement operating.

Heat leader Lee Richardson, in-form reserve Tomasz Chrzanowski and the other reserve Andy Moore as well as Korneliussen were all due to miss Monday night's Sky Sports match at Wolverhampton, which was eventually called off because of an unfit track.

"I must admit it was a bit lucky for us," said team boss Rossiter. "But you need luck in this sport.

"We would have had a depleted side but I was still confident we could have taken the bonus point.

"To be honest, I didn't shed any tears when it was called off by the referee.

"If had started it would have cut-up and been extremely difficult for the less experienced riders."

He continued: "It was a blessing in disguise being called off - now it will take place on August 20.

"The postponement has given us a chance to get practically all the team fit to ride against Poole.

"Lee (Richardson) was feeling unwell and did not ride in either Poland or Sweden but is okay again now.

"Tomasz is suffering from tonsillitis and will need an operation at the end of the season.

"He didn't ride in Sweden on Tuesday but should be back for us tonight and Andy Moore has declared himself fit to ride after a wrist injury racing in a short track event.

"It is good news to have everyone back except Mads as Poole will be a very tough match.

"They always give us a hard time but I am confident we can beat them again tonight.

"We struggled last time at home but still just won. We were gating badly but battled through to win by two points.

"If everyone is riding to their capabilities I have no fears about Poole. I expect us to win but I am not sure by how many.

"We just need to make sure it is enough in order to take the bonus (aggregate) point in the return at Poole.

"Having said that we normally ride well there and took the bonus point last time after a 45-45 draw."

Robins have turned the Abbey Stadium into something of a fortress in recent times and now boast a proud unbeaten home record that stretches back almost a year.

Reading were the last visitors to win at Blunsdon with a 49-44 success last year on June 22.

And with a strong powerful line-up this season and the bonus of Chrzanowski at reserve, Swindon are expected to keep the record going.

The Dorset outfit have a top-heavy look to the side with reigning world champion Jason Crump and fellow GP rider Bjarne Pedersen as the spearheads.

However, Edward Kennett seems to have recaptured his form and is proving a very solid scorer.

Poole are the only side to have troubled Robins at home this season, taking them to a last heat decider at the start of April.

In a tight meeting, it was a fall by Troy Batchelor proved costly for Pirates, with the race awarded as a 5-1 to Swindon.

It gave Robins a two-point lead going into the nominated race, the first time they had led all night, with Leigh Adams holding his nerve to secure the win.

If that meeting proved to be a tense affair, then the recent return at Wimborne Road was equally compelling - a 45-45 draw perhaps the fairest result on the night.

Rider replacement for Korneliussen means everyone except Adams will take an extra ride.

For the Pirates, Batchelor, who crashed in the match against the Robins at Wimborne Road on 11 June, damaging his collarbone, is still out. He will be replaced by Rye House rider Steve Boxall.

TEAMS (probable) SWINDON: 1 Leigh Adams; 2 Mads Korneliussen - Rider Replacement; 3 Sebastian Ulamek; 4 Charlie Gjedde; 5 Lee Richardson; 6 Andy Moore; 7 Tomasz Chrzanowski.

POOLE: 1 Jason Crump; 2 Piotr Swist; 3 Bjarne Pedersen; 4 Edward Kennett; 5 Craig Boyce; 6 Jason Doyle; 7 Steve Boxall.
