LEIGH Adams insists he will be going full throttle tonight in the Elite League Riders' Championship meeting at King's Lynn, despite feeling the strain of his gruelling summer schedule.

The Swindon skipper will line up alongside teammate Lee Richardson at the Norfolk Arena, just 24 hours after the Robins' Elite League clash with rivals Poole Pirates.

Adams, fresh off his thrilling Grand Prix victory in Latvia at the weekend, admits he is looking forward to a well-earned rest at the end of a hectic season.

But the Australian insists any thoughts of holding back at Saddlebow Road tonight have not even entered his mind.

He said: "King's Lynn is a great track and I always look forward to riding there.

"There is sure to be another big crowd and the atmosphere will be fantastic.

"The timing of this meeting could have been better though.

"I'm riding every day for 11 days straight and it does take its toll on the body.

"But what can you do? I've got some good people around me so I will just have to get on with it and try my best.

"I suppose the good thing is that we are riding in England again, so there's not a great amount of travelling."

Adams is high on confidence following his win in Latvia and is looking forward to renewing his rivalry with World Championship leader Nicki Pedersen.

The Eastbourne rider will also grace the shale in Norfolk tonight and sparks are sure to fly when the tapes go up.

Adams said: "It's a good chance to get one over on Nicki and the rest of the guys in the World Championship.

"Lee (Richardson) and myself will be doing our best to get a place on the rostrum.

"Obviously we've got some big meetings coming up for Swindon but that won't come into play really.

"We are up for this one and it should be another exciting night."
