STEFAN Nielsen has been confirmed as Zach Wajtknecht’s replacement, and will take his place in the Robins squad for tomorrow night’s trip to King’s Lynn.
The 24-year-old, who was born in Denmark, scored 5+2 from his three rides as a guest on Thursday night as Alun Rossiter’s Robins reached the Supporters’ Cup Grand Final after thrashing King’s Lynn 58-32 at the Abbey Stadium.
With the Robins’ 28-day facility for Wajtknecht set to expire this week, Rossiter has opted to make Neilsen a permanent member of his team.
He said: “Stefan impressed me a lot on Thursday, and he deserves a run on that evidence.
“He’s our own asset and keen for more racing in the Premiership, and I feel it’s the right move to make.
“All we need is points in that position, and that’s what he gave us, which is what Ellis (Perks) is doing there too.”
