LAST week’s rained-off British semi-finals at Sheffield and Rye House will not be re-staged.
With the current weather conditions still unstable and under three weeks remaining before the British Final on July 30, organisers will instead seed 16 riders to the meeting based on averages, and that list will be published shortly.
Swindon's Simon Stead will hope to be in the line-up.
Major events co-ordinator David Hoggart said: "The Met Office have advised us that regrettably the current conditions are likely to continue until around July 23, and therefore we feel the risk of further postponements is too great which would then potentially impact on the British Final itself.
"We do regret that we are unable to stage the semi-finals, but the weather has placed us in an unprecedented situation with so many postponements."
