SWINDON Town have taken Fabien Robert, brother of former France international and Newcastle United star Laurent, on trial.
Fabien, an attacking midfielder, was handed a start in today's pre-season friendly with Premier League Everton, impressing in the openeing 45 minutes.
Robert was released by French Ligue Un side Lorient at the end of last season, having endured an injury hit past couple of seasons.
The former France under 20 international has played in England before when he joined then Championship side Doncaster Rovers for five months on loan in 2012.
The other new triallists Town took a look at were former Brighton defender Vitālijs Maksimenko, released former Arsenal midfielder Jack Jebb, Bosnia-Herzegovina under 21 international goalkeeper Nickola Vasilj and Edgware Town full-back James Brophy.
