I NOTE that in the letter from Wiltshire Council asking for opinions on which rubbish collection service should be suspended during the winter, there is great play made of the “free service” which we now enjoy.
I would like to sign up for this “free” service.
The last time I looked I was paying Wiltshire Council a great deal of money every year to pay for, among other things, rubbish collection.
Does Wiltshire Council hold us in such contempt that it believes us incapable of seeing though such a blatant misrepresentation of the truth? If part of the service is withdrawn, where does the council think the rubbish will go? Bonfires are not allowed, and not everyone has composting facilities.
Excess will go into another bin or it will be fly-tipped? Will that save money?
