I was having a cup of coffee in town, when I said to my wife, what is wrong with this town.

Do you remember when we came to Swindon in the early 60s, to set up home from scratch, and we went down Regent Street and bought everything we needed for our new home, furniture, cooker, bed, bedding, babies cot, carpets, television etc?

Yes, she said, now couples have to go all over Swindon and around to get what they need to set up home. The Co-op even lent us a sofa and chairs while they got what we had ordered, this would not happen now will it? What a shame.

Swindon borough council take note.

This is what is missing in the town centre. Does anyone else feel the same?
