WE learn today that not a single local council has offered to act as a pilot for the Government's scheme to charge householders by the kilo for rubbish disposal. Could it be that local councillors just happen to recognise what Brown does not; that the last thing homeowners need is yet another kick in the teeth?
The problem with this bankrupt, worn out and wholly despicable Government is that it has a very limited vocabulary - legislation, tax, compulsion, tax, enforcement tax, fines, tax and so on ad infinitum. Sorry, I do them an injustice I forgot "spend" and "borrow."
Do they think we are all too stupid to accept reasoned argument? Continual use of the cane produces hardened backsides. Roll on 2010 when we can kick theirs.
