I FEEL that I must write to you about your latest faith in focus article (SA, Feb 5). This attack on atheists I found both provocative and unnecessary.
I could not understand the reference to macatheism and had a little fantasy about Macdonalds sponsoring atheism. Pulling myself together I went online and Googled macatheism. It sent me to the website of an atheist group at an Australian university. I was even more confused.
The offending article finished with a quote from Winston Churchill “I have never seen an atheist in a lifeboat”. Could anybody tell me when Churchill was ever in a lifeboat?
