LIKE your recent correspondent, I too was unimpressed by the recent articles on Rodbourne Cheney. Lumping this area together with Rodbourne did no justice to either distinctly different community. In the case of my area, no reference was made to the Rodbourne Cheney Primary School being top of the Primary School League Table in Swindon, the thriving Guide and Scout organisations or the work done by the local Residents’ Association. Finally, to add insult to injury, the feature on Moredon featured a picture of our longest serving Ward Councillor standing in front of a shop in Rodbourne Cheney! Still it was good to see that he is still in the land of the living, even he obviously didn’t know where he was.
