LAST week a gentleman wrote in about people in sheltered accommodation should not get fuel allowance because their heating was paid for and they paid no further electricity.
He should get his facts right.
We have two storage heaters paid for and they are nearly cold by the evening, that means we have to put on extra heating in the sitting room. Any heating we put on in the bedroom or bathroom we pay for. Also we pay a set sum to heat the corridors of the building as well.
We also pay rent and council tax.
