MR Rosier and his company should be given every encouragement by the council as he is the only developer in Swindon to be able to restore what is left of one of our few historic buildings.
The Corn Exchange as people living in Old Town have always know it because farmers brought samples of their crops to be shown to buyers, or the Locarno as it is also known was, with the High Street and the Square, an important part of the novel, Amaryllis at the Fair by Richard Jefferies. The best of all that he wrote in my opinion.
I am looking forward to hearing the clock striking the hours and half hours again.
There has been too much shilly-shallying by local councillors. Support Mr Rosier or the Locarno will remain in the state it is now for hundreds of years.
