MY name is Andy Webb and I live in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

Me and a good friend of mine came down to Swindon on Saturday, April 2 on our motorcycles ready to attend the Ride Of Respect 2011, the famous ride through the lovely town of Wootton Bassett.

On behalf of the 10,000 motorcyclists who attended, a big thank you to all the residents who made everyone so welcome, to let us ride through your lovely picturesque town so we can pay our respect to all the unfortunate men and women who were taken from us serving their country.

Unfortunately, there was one person, Chris Gleed, who wrote in and disrespectfully had the cheek to moan about the supposed “chaos” around the town of Wootton Bassett.

May I say that the mothers of those lost in battle didn’t receive any flowers or chocolates from their sons or daughters, so for the small price of not being able to pick their mothers/in-laws up on time is in my opinion very irrelevant and petty.

So to finish my short letter, once again thank you to the kind-hearted people of Wootton Bassett and the local police for helping things run so smoothly and I hope to see everyone back there next year if we’re allowed to raise another £130,000 and hopefully more for a very good cause.
