IN reply to Steve Thompson’s letter (SA, April 28). Moredon ward, now renamed Rodbourne Cheney, has also got the same problem - our local primary school and roads to the east are now in Haydon Wick ward put there by the Boundary Commission. We also object to our area being divided and have put a copy of the Boundary Commission map in our June newsletter along with an article so all our residents will be aware of the problem. And we are asking everyone to write in and object to the commission’s map of the ward. We want all of Rodbourne Cheney in one area not two, after all we fought the council for two years to get our name back, residents need to know if they do not write in and object they cannot complain afterwards.

The local school is the voting station for Moredon ward, now Rodbourne Cheney, what is to happen if we are split in two wards where would one vote? When the council changed our polling station to the Pinehurst People’s Centre the local councillor lost his seat due to residents objecting to the change of polling station, nothing to say this will not happen again. Residents need to stand up and be counted, write in and get these maps changed to the residents’ area, not what the Boundary Commission says is your ward. You also need to get all local councillors on board to help in this matter.

It would have been easier had the maps sent out by the commission had your ward on one map, to make your ward up into a map you had to go through four maps to make one, was this done on purpose?
