Rain may have stopped Swindon Town from performing on the pitch against Colchester, but that didn't stop one of their players demonstrating a hidden talent off of it.

Town travelled to Essex for the first game of the season against former manager Ben Garner's Colchester but heavy Storm Antoni rainfall saw the game postponed just 30 minutes before kick-off.

New manager Michael Flynn, the players and staff went over to the travelling faithful to thank them for making the journey and the club's singing kit man Jonah Isaacs led the crowd in a call-and-response song.

But the music didn't stop there. Later on, club captain Charlie Austin uploaded a video to Instagram and Twitter of new signing Udoka 'Dokes' Godwin-Malife in the changing rooms giving his new team "a singsong".

The former Forest Green Rovers player stood on one of the benches, used a bottle as a microphone, and belted out a surprising rendition of John Legend's hit All Of Me.

The video has received a huge reaction from Town fans and the online football community in general.

As of 10.30am on August 5, it has been viewed over 397,000 times.

Godwin-Malife may be a new signing at the club, but this performance seems to have heavily endeared him to fans who reacted positively to it.

One person said: "Wasted playing football. Get him on the Swindon town choir."

Another added: "You think you can’t love Dokes anymore then you already do, then he pulls this out…"

"Incredible voice. Using the water bottle as a microphone is a nice touch. Deadline day move to Columbia Records for an undisclosed fee."

Some described it as a locker room initiation and suggested that whoever was next was in big trouble at having to follow that, others pointed out that some of the other Town players appeared to be shedding a tear or two.
