MYSTERY surrounds the future of two popular Swindon pubs.
Both The Steam Railway Co and Groves Company Inn were shut when the Adver visited yesterday.
The reason behind the unexpected closure of the two establishments remains unclear.

A removal crew was at work at Steam, in Old Town's Newport Street, where glasses were boxed up and the team was attempting to remove a fridge from behind the bar.
A truck parked in the courtyard of the pub was already loaded with the furniture from inside.
When asked what was happening, one told the Adver that they couldn’t comment but to “watch this space”.
All that remained on the walls were TVs which, at the time, were still showing Sky Sports News.
The Adver contacted the landlord and was awaiting a response at the time of going to press.
At Groves, a former Wetherspoons pub on Fleet Street, the doors were locked.
An employee, who wished to remain nameless, said: “I don’t know what’s going on.
“People came round and closed us. They turned up and said we're closed with immediate effect.”
