A third man has been charged following a series of raids across the town this week, police said. 

Liam Lewis, 22, of Tansley Moor, Liden, was charged with possession of class B drugs and released on unconditional bail. 

Two men, Ewan Burrows and Kieran Steptoe, appeared before the magistrates' court on Friday charged with various drugs offences. 

The charges followed raids on six properties on Wednesday and Thursday. Police said the warrants were aimed at tackling an alleged drug gang based in east Swindon. 

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said an 18-year-old man who was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs had been released under investigation. 

Another 22-year-old woman arrested during one of the raids on Thursday was released with no further action taken against them.
