SWINDON Town have sold 601 season tickets for the new League Two campaign after a second day of long queues at the County Ground.

Fans lined up along the Town End for much of Tuesday as the club's 'Race to 6K' campaign gathered some early momentum.

Almost 300 season tickets were purchased on the first day they became available before another bumper day for the County Ground club saw Swindon reach the 10 per cent mark in total sales.

Many fans are waiting on the online and telephone systems to be launched, with CEO Rob Angus reiterating the club is working at break-neck speed to kick them both into action.

Town announced the advanced ticket windows will only be open until 1pm on Wednesday due to illness, with the club expected to update fans on Thursday's opening hours in due course.

Should the club hit its target of selling 6,000 season tickets, owner Clem Morfuni says every home game will feature “a random draw for a once-in-a-lifetime, free “Director for the day” experience, including four free tickets.”

The club also say a full refund from last year will be available for anyone who would like one, though refunds cannot be paid immediately and will be available "no later than January 2022" due to “various inherited financial issues.”
