BIRMINGHAM City coach Paul Harsley is reportedly "a contender" to become Swindon Town's new head coach.
TalkSPORT football correspondent Alex Crook Tweeted on Friday to say the 44-year-old is "one of several young coaches they (Town) are looking at."
The Birmingham first-team development coach follows a number of other younger names to be linked with the job, including Andrew Crofts, Ryan Mason, and Mark Delaney.
Harsley joined The Blues as lead professional development coach but later took on some first-team duties when Lee Bowyer was appointed head coach in March 2021.
The 5-1 shot could follow former peer Mark Kennedy in taking a head coaching job should be land the Swindon role. Kennedy recently left St Andrews to take over at Lincoln City in League One.
Town have been searching for a replacement for Ben Garner since the 42-year-old was announced as the new Charlton Athletic manager on Wednesday.
